Day 1 of the Traveling Tinkers

After months of planning, and a few months of building and frustrations with our Roadtrek that wouldn't be able to make the trek across country, we were not going to let anything stop us. Dave and I watched multiple videos on car camping, van conversions, and more importantly, Subaru Forester camping. Who knew! Many measurements and sweat later, we are ready to hit the road. Today is Day 1. It is 47 degrees in Rutland, MA, these are the before packing photos, will try to post as we go along.

309.8 miles later we arrived at our  sister Alice and sister in law Karen's home in Ventnor, NJ. We were tired, but were welcomed by a lovely home cooked meal. It has been a long time since we saw each other due to COVID, and it was great to get caught up.  It was early to bed.
