Day 2 - The Traveling Tinkers

We spent the day enjoying our time with family, binge watching HBO, working on Ancestry, eating good food, telling stories, and enjoying the hospitality of Karen and Alice.  Did I tell you Alice makes a great Chili??  The sunshine in Ventnor, New Jersey is so beautiful, the area is certainly one to visit. Will have to visit here more often, and next time, will bring the bikes.

Of couse, no trip to New Jersey would be comlete without a visit to where it all began. Atlantic City! We made a quick stop at the old Oasis Motel, which is now Knights Inn, and is currently in the renovation stages, so our quick photo, is in front of the pool, many of you have seen the original swimming pool photo of me & my sweetie from our early beginings, so this is an updated version, older wiser, ad grey haired!  Still having fun.

Some things in the area have changed over the years, the beach, the boardwalk casino's, and of course, Lucy the Elephant.   We enjoyed our visit.

After leaving the area we drove 305.9 miles onward to Louisa, Virginia. We enjoyed seeing the trees and flowers blooming, many horse and cattle ranches, and a home cooked meal and our sister and brother in law at the end of the day.
