Day 33 - The Traveling Tinkers

Grand Canyon. This was a return visit for us, and a new visit for Sean and Steffie.  Because I have a disabled plaquard, we were able to drive all the roads, from Southwest to Northeast. We saw fantastic sights of the canyon, looked down upon bright angel trail.  Were went to all the lookout points along the way in awe of the magnificent sites. Our accomodations were at the Mathis Campground, we kept busy playing cards with headlights on, and drinking some of the local wine. We were visited by the local wildlife.  There are way too many great photos, so I just picked a few.   A few of the pics are from stops along the way, the animal statues and cowboys were made out of metal, and the pics with the antique cars were just someplace along the road.  Of course, I never miss stopping at a gem store.

We were a little disappointed that the slot canyons like Antelope were closed as they were on Native land, and closed due to covid, but there was so much to see we enjoyed it all.   Another highlight that was closed was four corners. Guess we will need to schedule another trip.
