Day 34 The Traveling Tinkers
Page Arizona, and Monument Valley.
We had a great campsite at Page Resort, each tent area was sectioned off with blocks, a tree, and soft powdery sand for the tent. Each site also had a grill, water and electric. It was nestled in the valley and was beautiful. We did learn something, a maintenance fellow was using a battery powered drill to clean each grill. What a time saver. We headed off to monument valley which was also spectacular. Just a few pics to give you an idea of the beauty that we were able to behold.
Our site that evening was the Monument Valley KOA. The tent site was on a gravel area with water and electric and looked right out at the monument. The sky was full of stars and we could see the Milky Way so clearly that night. It was a bit dusty, but we still played cards and had fun. It was very windy, so we had to secure the tent down with extra spikes.
Monument valley had great rock formation and we also found a Navaho Center, which was closed, but we were able to enjoy some of the history and see a hogan and sweat lodge and learn a bit about the native plants.
