The Traveling Tinkers - Sturgis South Dakota

Sturgis is a city in western South Dakota. The Sturgis Motorcycle Museum & Hall of Fame nods to the city's long-running Sturgis Motorcycle Rally and houses vintage motorbikes, plus memorabilia and photographs. Fort Meade, a 19th-century military outpost, and the Old Fort Meade Museum, documenting its history, are just east of town. To the south, Black Hills National Forest has rugged mountains, canyons and trails.  We enjoyed a great lunch and brew at Knuckles.

Sturgis hosts the world's oldest and largest motorcycle gatherings, offering riding, exhibitors, motorcycle shows, demo rides, racing, concerts and more.

It all bega in 1938 by a group of Indian Motorcycle riders and was originally held for stunts ad races   Interesting to note, it is listed as one of the 1,000 places to see before you die.  Not sure about that, but the food, drinks and service, we all great.  Ambiance amazing..  If you are inclined, the 80th Sturgis Motorcycle Rally this year will be the week of August 7-16.
